Lifeguards (Seasonal)

The Marbridge Foundation, located in Manchaca (South of Austin) is currently seeking part-time lifeguards for the summer months (June- August). This is a great opportunity to get involved with an amazing non-profit organization, put some extra money in your pocket, and have fun while doing it!

SCHEDULE: *20-30 hours a week; Schedule is flexible depending on candidate availability and need of organization*

  • Saturday and Sunday: 2:00pm-8:00pm
  • Monday- Friday: 4:00pm- 8:00pm

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be at least 18+ years of age.
  • Current and valid ARC lifeguard certification (Classes/certification not provided by Marbridge)
  • Current First Aid/CPR certification (Classes/certification not provided by Marbridge)
  • Experience in working with individuals with cognitive disabilities a plus.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Safeguards and regulates conduct of pool patrons with enforcing pool policies.
  • Rescues patrons and performs appropriate follow-up procedures, including the proper use of equipment in the performance of first aid.
  • Assists in the proper maintenance and sanitary upkeep of the pool and pool area.
  • Provides written reports on all accidents; including maintaining proper updated safety requirements.
  • Operates equipment safely and reports any unsafe work conditions or practice to supervisor.
  • Maintains communication and collaboration with resident trainers and other staff to ensure the safety and well-being of the residents.
  • Perform duties as assigned.
