Recruiter/HR Assistant
The Marbridge Foundation is currently looking for a Recruiter/HR Assistant to join our HR team.
This position reports to the Vice President of Human Resources and is primarily responsible for recruiting and orientating all new hires. The Recruiter is responsible for updating and maintaining all job postings, screening candidates, facilitating interviews, execute background checks and driving records, and conduct new hire orientation
This position has a typical Monday-Friday schedule, 8:30am-5:00pm in office. Occasionally the Recruiter will be called upon to work additional hours or odd schedules.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Maintain an accurate tracking system for all open positions
- Post all open positions on Marbridge website and other applicable job boards
- Screen all applicants for essential qualifications and determine appropriate placement and qualifications.
- Schedule interviews as designated by Directors, Assistant Directors, and/or hiring managers
- Track applicants through the hiring process until new hire orientation is complete
- Facilitate new hire orientation and process new hire paperwork
- Conduct background checks, motor vehicle reports, and verify credentialing for positions that require a license, certification, or education level.
- Attend job fairs and other events as needed
- Maintain confidentiality of employee records and release authorized information regarding employee verification in accordance with company policy and applicable laws and regulations.
- In coordination with the VP of HR, design and implement overall recruiting strategy.
- Assist with updating job descriptions as needed
- Assist with reference checks as needed
- Have a general knowledge of Marbridge benefit package to assist with recruiting efforts.
- Act as a point of contact and build influential candidate relationships during the selection process.
- Promote company’s reputation as “best place to work”.
- Provide VP of HR with analytics (separation reasons, time to fill, etc.).
- Foster employee retention by assessing feedback provided by applicants and employees and providing that feedback to the VP of HR and appropriate supervisors.
- Function in other organizational activities and special projects as assigned by VP of HR
- Clerical responsibilities: Greet visitors in the Welcome Center, assist with general office duties such as ordering supplies, keeping office area clean and organized, signing for packages, and providing directions to visitors.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- General knowledge of employment laws and best practices required
- Recruiting experience preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience required
- Experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) or similar software preferred
- Experience with Intellectual and Developmentally Disabled individuals preferred
- Must have computer experience, and demonstrate proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Must possess good telephone skills and behave in a professional manner when relating to staff, vendors and residents.
- Must be able to work independently or as a team and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Must be detail oriented and organized
- Must be able to provide detail information, handle multiple tasks, proper filing, have a strong sense of urgency, and possess excellent organization and time management skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Requires sitting for extended periods of time, some standing, walking, reaching, bending, stooping, and lifting
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Normal range of hearing and vision required
