Barn Assistant

Join our team at Marbridge, where compassion meets equine care. We’re seeking a dedicated Barn Assistant to provide daily care and feeding for our horses, maintain clean stalls and water, and support adults with cognitive challenges in a safe, respectful environment.
Shifts Available:
- Part Time Weekdays
- PRN Weekends & Holidays
A PRN position is an as‑needed role. Instead of having a guaranteed weekly schedule, PRN team members fill shifts based on the needs of the department. This often includes covering vacations, call‑outs, busy periods, or open shifts. PRN roles are great for candidates who want flexibility, enjoy choosing when they work, or are looking to supplement another job.
Pay and Benefits:
- $18.00 an hour
- Free meals available for specific shifts
- Access to our state of the art gym facility
Qualifications and Skills:
- Horse experience is a must
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work on uneven terrain
- Strong communication and respectful demeanor
- Commitment to resident safety, well-being, and independence
- Ability to provide minor medical care.
- Ability to recognize signs and symptoms of sickness or injury
Key Responsibilities
- Feed and water horses twice daily, 365 days/year
- Muck stalls and maintain barn cleanliness
- Administer basic equine first aid and medications
- Work alongside resident employees with patience and professionalism
- Report health concerns to Equine Coordinator and assist with volunteers
