Dietary Aide
MARBRIDGE VILLA (Skilled Nursing Facility)Location: Manchaca, TX (just south of Austin)
We currently have an opening for a Dietary Aide at our assisted living facility. This position is responsible to the Cook for providing assistance in all functions of the kitchen to include cooking and serving healthy and appetizing meals to residents and staff. The Dietary Aide will maintain kitchen and dining room cleanliness, follow posted menus, maintain and properly use kitchen equipment, practice safe food handling and proper hygiene, and assist with training of resident employees. This responsibility includes ensuring compliance with state standards and regulations regarding kitchen and food service operations.
POSITIONS AVAILABLE
- Full-Time, rotating days, 5:00am-1:00pm
- PRN, various shifts
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Practice safe food handling guidelines as outlined by regulations
- Follow all standards and regulations regarding kitchen operations
- Prepare food with techniques to ensure quality, nutrition and pleasant appeal
- Follow posted menus and document any necessary changes
- Maintain kitchen equipment and kitchen and dining room cleanliness
- Assist in training resident employees on assigned work duties
- Function in other organizational activities as assigned by the Director
- Perform similar job-related duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND REQUIRED SKILLS
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid Texas Food Handlers’s Certification
- Previous kitchen experience preferred, experience in a healthcare facility a plus
- Knowledge of proper food temperatures and food storage procedures preferred
