Position Summary:

Marbridge is a non-profit long-term residential care facility for adults with intellectual disabilities, offering a full spectrum of services tailored to individual needs and abilities. We provide our residents with opportunities to learn, experience, and achieve a whole new life.

The Activities Coordinator is responsible for overseeing all aspects of activities and experiences for Village residents outside of the Training & Education department offerings to increase engagement and to enhance the quality of life for the residents being served.

This position includes planning, organizing, coordinating, and executing activities. Weekends are required for this position. The Activities Coordinator will work every weekend.

Shift:

  • Saturday and Sunday 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
  • Part – Time, 24 hrs a week

Pay and Benefits:

  • $18 an hour

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age and hold a current valid Texas Driver’s License
  • Highschool Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be CPR/First Aid and AED certified
  • Preferred experience working with intellectually disabled persons
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with a high level of energy and enthusiasm
  • Ability to organize, document, and implement activities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plan and lead engaging activities and community outings that support residents’ social, emotional, physical, and recreational well-being.
  • Create and publish monthly event calendars tailored to resident interests and goals, including weekend and after-hours outings.
  • Coordinate logistics and materials for activities, including transportation, ticket purchases, and equipment setup.
  • Support staff and volunteers in executing activities, ensuring safety, inclusion, and adaptability for all residents.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and communication, including resident updates in Point Click Care and collaboration with leadership.
