At The Villa at Marbridge, residents who require professional nursing and/or rehabilitative medical care can enjoy many of the on-campus social activities, while under 24-hour, round-the-clock licensed medical supervision. In addition to the licensed medical care, residents will find an unusually full schedule of games, activities, and opportunities offered on campus as well as frequent town trips and Austin community outings. Residents can take part in sporting events such as appropriate for their abilities including Bible baseball, Frisbee, and balloon volleyball and even compete in the citywide nursing home games competition. Residents frequently go shopping or out to eat at restaurants and many enjoy taking group walks throughout the campus with staff.
"I've been at Marbridge since 1957. In 1994, I moved into The Villa. All of the staff are very caring people and polite when they are taking care of us. They are very understanding and do extra things for us." –Robert
The Villa hasn't been left out of the campus-wide updates either, recently undergoing a refresh of its own. Renovation of the hallways and lounge areas feature welcoming earth tone colors on the walls, new furniture, new lighting and the floors have a beautiful hardwood finish. These improvements give us a brighter, lighter and more modernized look.
Thank you to the Manchaca Baptist Church Girls in Action. For their service project, they made lap blankets for the Villa Residents. Lead by LaVern Lehman, the girls came to visit, sing songs, and offer the residents these soft and cozy blankets.
Robert, used to supervise the Ranch dairy. He has been at Marbridge 50 years. Today he enjoys showing off his trophies in his room at the Villa.
