Barbara Bush, Director of Admissions

As a Certified Senior Advisor, Barbara brings a broad base of experience to planning for and meeting the needs of adults who require long-term care or skilled nursing care. Her background in estate planning and probate adds an additional layer of knowledge in the legal and medical considerations required in the planning process and in meeting long-term care needs.  Barbara works with families from communities surrounding Austin as well as from across the nation and foreign countries.

Rosie Kanetzky, admissions coordinator

rosiekanetzkyBorn and raised in Dripping Springs, Rosie returned to the Austin area after earning her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Vanderbilt University. She brings a background in marketing and public relations to her role as admissions coordinator. Rosie became passionate about health care and helping individuals with cognitive challenges after watching a family member go through the recovery process after sustaining a traumatic brain injury.

General Admission Information

Eligibility Requirements for the Ranch at Marbridge:

  • 18 years of age
  • Primary diagnosis of developmental delay or cognitive challenge
  • Independent in activities of daily living and/or in need of verbal prompting or training
  • Able to ambulate and transfer independently
  • Able to follow a schedule of training and activity
  • Possible interest in maintaining on-campus employment
  • Free of aggressive or threatening behaviors

Eligibility Requirements for the Village at Marbridge:

  • 18 years of age
  • Primary diagnosis of developmental delay or cognitive challenge
  • Independent in activities of daily living
  • Able to ambulate and transfer independently
  • Able to follow a schedule of training and activity
  • Possible interest in maintaining employment on or off campus
  • Free of aggressive or threatening behaviors

Eligibility Requirements for the Villa Skilled Nursing Center at Marbridge:

  • 18 years of age
  • In need of physical assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, toileting, grooming, etc.)
  • In need of medical care provided by registered, licensed and certified nursing staff
  • If developmentally delayed, meets the requirements of pre-admission Screening and Resident Review (PASARR) as approved in writing by a physician or official nurse
  • Free of aggressive or threatening behaviors

Eligibility Requirements for the Bridges Recovery Center at Marbridge:

  • 18 years of age
  • Qualifying hospital stay for skilled benefits
  • In need of skilled nursing and therapeutic discipline (PT, OT, ST, etc.)
