C. David Perry

Chairman

Dave Perry is chief executive officer of Tenduit Software, an Austin-based start-up company developing data center infrastructure management solutions. Prior to joining Tenduit he served as executive vice president of Commercial Markets for Zebra Imaging, a leading provider of 3D holographic displays and visualization technologies. He was focused on the development of commercial applications and strategic partnerships for the world's first motion holographic display.

Previously, Dave led Avocent Corporation's management systems division as executive vice president and general manager. During his 10-year tenure the company grew rapidly from start-up stage to over 2000 employees, generating more than $500M in annual revenue. Under his leadership the business maintained the industry’s market-share leadership position. Prior to Avocent, Dave operated in a variety of technical, sales & management roles with Texas Instruments over a 19-year career. Previously, he served with the US Air Force working with critical cryptographic communications systems.

Dave is a graduate of the Harvard Business School advanced management program and holds an M.B.A. from Hardin-Simmons University. He earned a BS in Education from Texas State University.

Dave and his wife Debbie live in Austin, Texas and have two sons, John and Michael. John is a resident of Marbridge.

Tom M. O'Brien

Mr. O'Brien was employed by Union Pacific Corporation for fifteen years, Ultramar Inc. for eight years, and Ultramar Diamond Shamrock Corp. for five years. From 2001 until 2004, he served as CFO of PPP Holdings, Inc. Mr. O’Brien received his BSBA degree with an accounting major from Creighton University in 1973 and his MBA with an emphasis in finance from California State University in 1981. His son, Tim, is a Ranch resident.

John D. Head

Mr. Head is a partner in the law firm of Fritz, Byrne, Head & Harrison, where he practices environmental and administrative law. He holds a B.A. degree in psychology from Stanford University and a law degree from the University of Texas School of Law. Prior to advancing to partner in his own practice, Mr. Head worked with Vinson & Elkins of Houston, Texas, and served as chief legal advisor for the Texas Water Commission. His brother, Joe, is a Ranch resident.

W. Norman Phillips

Mr. Phillips is president of the Fuels Division of Lyondell Basell Industries. He is an experienced senior leader in the petrochemical and refining industry. He holds a bachelors degree in chemical engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology and an MBA from the University of St. Thomas. His association experience includes serving as Director, Executive Committee member, Vice-Chair and Chairman of NPRA, a global trade association representing 450 member companies in the petrochemical and refining industries.

W. Barry Schneider

Barry Schneider brings a strong financial management background to the board. Mr. Schneider is a Senior Vice President with Barclays Wealth, Inc. in Houston. In this capacity, he serves as a financial advisor to approximately 40 individuals, foundations and endowments with assets totaling more than $700 million.

Mr. Schneider has more than 20 years experience in financial management, including tenures with Morgan Stanley, Salomon Brothers and Goldman, Sachs. He also served in the United States Army Signal Corps, with tours of duty in Germany, Vietnam and the United States.

Schneider earned his bachelors degree and Masters of Business Administration from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Barry is the chair of the Finance Committee. His daughter, Anne, has been a Ranch resident since August, 2006.

Schneider also has extensive experience with non-profit boards similar to Marbridge. He chaired the Board of Notre Dame School in Dallas, where Anne attended, and serves on the Finance Committee of Brookwood Community, a long-term residential care facility where Anne lived before moving to Marbridge.

Richard A. Cabrera

Mr. Cabrera is the chief financial officer for SAM, Inc., a survey and mapping firm in Austin, Texas, providing geospatial data solutions through advanced technologies. His experience spans more than 20 years and includes merger and acquisition work as vice president of finance for the international division of Browning-Ferris Industries, as well as chief financial officer for Texas Disposal Systems in Austin.

Mr. Cabrera's experience also includes independent business consulting and public accounting at KPMG Peat Marwick, LLP. Mr. Cabrera holds a BA in Economics from Rhodes University in Memphis, Tenn., and an MBA from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin.

Thomas H. Leyden

Secretary

Mr. Leyden has spent his career in the field of education, including experience as a middle school principal in Plano ISD for 25 years. He presided during a time when the school was honored as a United States Department of Education Blue Ribbon school.

Mr. Leyden was also selected as the Texas Principal of the Year in 1999 by the Texas Association of Secondary School Principals and was recognized by the National Association of Secondary School Principals. He was a founding member and past president of the Texas Middle School Association and currently holds the position of associate executive director for the Texas Association of Secondary School Principals.

Mr. Leyden is a past president of the Marbridge Parents and Families Association. In January 2010, Mr. Leyden, along with dedicated Marbridge staff members, residents, and community members formed a Dream Team and began the process to design, fund, and build the Victory Hall Athletic & Event Center on the Marbridge campus.

Mr. Leyden holds a B.A. degree from Bowling Green State University and a Master of Education degree from North Texas State University. His son, Kyle, is a resident of the Village.

H. Eddie Dick

Mr. Dick holds a B.A. in Political Science from Guilford College and is a residential homebuilder in Austin. Eddie was President and Chief Operating Officer of Texas Disposal Systems, Inc. in Austin, Texas for five years. He also served as Executive Vice President of Waste Industries, Inc. in Raleigh, North Carolina, for five years and County Manager for three different counties in North Carolina for 10 years. Eddie is chair of the Construction Committee. His son, Justin, is a Village resident

J. Mitchell Bell

J. Mitchell Bell is experienced in every facet of real estate law. His clients include financial institutions, owners and developers, and parties in secured transactions. He also counsels financial institutions and developers in asset based lending transactions, the hospitality industry and commercial finance, as well as clients involved in the acquisition, financing, and management of properties. Mr. Bell is a partner is the law firm of Locke Lord Bissell & Liddell, L.L.P. He is a past president of The Notre Dame School in Dallas and currently serves as the president of The Notre Dame School Foundation. He holds a bachelor of arts degree from Christian University and earned his law degree from Southern Methodist University School of Law. His son, Jordan, has been a resident at The Village since 2006.

Stephen T. Matthews

Mr. Matthews is President of Steve T. Matthews Company specializing in commercial user land transactions. This work involves working with Clients from preliminary location studies to the completion of entitlement requirements at the government level. His primary focus for the last 10 years has been the representation of Simon Property Group (SPG) in Texas and the Southwestern United States. He also serves as attorney of counsel for Barron & Adler, L.L.P., a boutique law firm devoted to eminent domain cases in Texas. Mr. Matthews has extensive experience serving on non-profit boards, including Boy Scouts of America, Rotary Club of Austin, Keep Austin Beautiful, Inc., The Hundred Club of Austin and the West Austin Youth Association.

James Stacey

James, a native of Houston, arrived in Austin in 1967 to attend the University of Texas and graduated with a BA in Sociology. He attended Southern Illinois University and Purdue University with studies in affirmative action, multi-disabilities in the workplace, and business as it relates to individuals with multi-disabilities. James comes to Marbridge with a strong background in financial planning and organizational skills, having held positions such as Director of Commercial Sales at McCoy's Corporation, Vice President at Vaughan & Sons and Stripling Blake Lumber Company, as well as Director of Long Term Care with Texas Department of Human Services.
